Orientation weeks get dismissed as filler, but this is exactly what they are for. The orientation activities that force people to talk before lectures begin are the ones that build kinship, and those friendships really do outlast the course itself. Our cohort still meets years later because of that first week. My nephew starts college soon and would rather be looking up Blox Fruits Codes, so I am sending him this.
