Aung Myo Min: From Setback to Second Chance 

Before coming to Singapore, Aung Myo Min had attained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in Myanmar. In search of better professional opportunities, he made the decision to resign from his previous job and move to Singapore.

Here, he worked in the food and beverage industry as a brewer, toaster and cashier but unfortunately was retrenched after a year. Undeterred, Aung made a professional pivot by enrolling in a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance after being introduced to TMC Academy by a friend. 

Through his studies, Aung discovered not just technical knowledge, but confidence in his ability to adapt. His journey reflects how finance courses in Singapore and career-focused education can open new pathways  even after setbacks.

After completing his programme, an unexpected opportunity arose. Aung’s previous company reached out to offer him a position once again. We’re heartened to see that TMC Academy helped Aung cross that bridge between uncertainty and renewed opportunity. 

Rai Miss Warisara (Cherry): Finding Confidence and Community Through Education

Rai Miss Warisara, also known as Cherry, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from TMC Academy. For her, one of the proudest moments was completing her accounting project, despite numbers being her self-proclaimed weakness. 

“Usually I’m really bad at math,” she shared, “but this course gave me time to really understand it. I studied, I worked hard and I got good marks. That made me feel proud of myself.”

Cherry’s journey highlights the transformative power of a business degree in Singapore. She gained knowledge and confidence in herself. Her time in Singapore also taught her to live independently in a new country and adapt to international cultures and make friends from around the world. 

“Now, if I go to Uzbekistan or China, I’ll know someone there!” she said.
