[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On the fourth of July, TMC Academy’s School of Psychology and Singapore Cancer Society jointly organised a talk that covers the range of problems cancer patients face and some of the strategies that might help to improve their well-being.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”23785″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”23783″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]The talk, titled The Road of Recovery: Helping Cancer Patients Feel Better, is presented by Dr Sue Burney, a registered Health and Counselling Psychologist. She teaches grief and loss subjects at the Australian Catholic University; and runs occasional workshops on end-of-life issues for psychologists and other health professionals. Dr Sue was the Director of External Programs for Monash University at TMC Academy and taught at our school for many years. We are very pleased to have her back, contributing to a charitable cause.
At TMC Academy, not only do we partner with industry organisations to present learning opportunities for both students and the public, we also believe in contributing to social progress through education. With this collaboration, we hope to bring hope and support to cancer patients and their families.
