In fact, many people are using cloud computing but is not aware that they are using it. In a layman term, cloud computing means that you are using Internet to access programs or data that is not store in your computer.

If you are using gmail or facebook, you are using cloud computing. If you store your files or photos in Dropbox, you are using cloud computing. It is almost certain that if you are using Internet, you are already using some forms of cloud computing.

There are many facts about cloud computing, two of them are:

  1. A new server is added to the cloud for every 600 tablets and 1200 smartphones. [1]

  2. 56% of companies are hiring professionals with cloud experience. [1]

One thing that is almost certain is if you are an IT professional, you will enhance your employability if you know cloud computing. To learn more about cloud computing, the best way is to take up some cloud computing related courses. For the general public, have fun using the cloud every day.

Cloud computing comes in many forms, which is why it can sometimes feel a little “cloudy” to understand. In reality, most people are Retro Bowl already using cloud computing every day without even realizing it.

Nice, simple explanation! I like how this breaks down cloud computing in a way that non-technical readers can understand. A lot of people really don’t realize they’re already using the subway surfers cloud every day through Gmail, Facebook, or Dropbox.
