Hawthorn English Teacher

Following a MA in Political Science at the National University of Singapore, Diego completed a doctorate research in Colonial History, and was awarded a PhD, at the University of Manchester, UK. He has taught various courses in history and English language and literature at diverse institutions in the UK, China and Singapore. Diego has been an avid volunteer in teaching English and has tutored a wide range of nationalities in English and other subjects. He is known by his students to be very kind and patient, and knows how to make his students feel at ease. He considers a balanced blend of passion, patience and proficiency to be the makings of a good teacher. In his spare time Diego is a keen swimmer and he likes to volunteer for the Singapore Cerebral palsy Association and the Red Cross.
