Course Objectives

Learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to facilitate effective work activities and improve team performance by promoting ownership and commitment amongst team members. It also includes working on goals and targets set, maintaining positive relationships and providing support and opportunities for individual and team contributions.

Course Content

  1. Provide resources, assistance & support needed by team members
  2. Analyse project control reports & performance assessment results to ascertain team performance & provide feedback & criticism
  3. Involve team members in the planning of work activities to promote ownership & commitment to work plan
  4. Delegate duties & responsibilities taking into consideration the competencies of individual team member
  5. Provide opportunities for team members to contribute ideas & skills & maintain positive relationships
  6. Provide & clarify with team members on work related info
  7. Communicate thoughts & feelings to justify a position & responsibilities assigned to team members
  8. Communicate to team members the importance & interdependence of each role & promote the benefits of diversity
  9. Communicate & agree on individual & team goals & targets
  10. Communicate team performance & related issues of concern to management & provide recommendations
  11. Respond to provide possible resolutions & seek improvements
