Work in A Team!
We have officially launched our first Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Course! Titled ‘Work in A Team’, this 2-day short course aims to equip learners with the skills to provide team support, while taking into consideration diversity issues. Topics also include applying effective communication techniques to achieve individual and team goals and identifying potential areas of conflict with team members and methods to overcome them. Most jobs require us to work collaboratively, so these are skills that will definitely be put to good use.
We had a chance to sit in one of the classes conducted for our colleagues and observed that there was little opportunity to practice the head-nodding exercise (also known as dozing off), because there were plenty of on-going discussions and presentations, in pairs, groups or even as a class. An online quiz was also created to spur our learners’ competitive spirit – by claiming a high rank on the scoreboard. The trainer shared a lot of examples and experiences, which makes learning the terms and concepts easier and relatable. The learning process was engaging, informative and hence effective.
Learners will receive a WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) awarded by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) upon successful completion.

Up to 95% course fee funding from SSG available. We did the math and it comes down to as low as $26.40 nett per person after approved funding!
