An Evening at Gardens by the Bay
In this episode of TMC Academy student orientation, we bring students to Gardens by the Bay, “a destination featuring the wonders of horticulture and sustainable architecture”. Apart from our new friends, students from School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts also joined in the excursion!

Hello, Hey, Hi, Ice-breaking is just this simple~
Before heading to Gardens by the Bay, students were rounded up for ice-breaking games in the classroom. It was an opportunity for everyone to mingle and be comfortable with each other.
Our school’s central location with accessibility to all parts of Singapore allowed the group to travel via the Circle MRT Line, giving our student club leaders a chance to introduce Singapore’s main transport system to our international students.
Our Student Services team and School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts lecturers played tourist guide for an evening, introducing the main sights and attractions to students. You may be surprised that it’s the first time some of our local friends have visited this place!

Here we are, let’s take a groupfie

Student club member, Natalie, introduces the students to our garden city, as they walk …

… and keep walking.
So, everyone was having fun and in a blink of an eye…
it was night time!
To our delight, the Mid-Autumn@ Gardens by the Bay celebrations started this week, featuring large-scale lantern displays and nightly cultural performances amongst a myriad of festivities.
Our students and staff were treated to a magnificent sight. What a beautiful way to welcome the weekend.
