The Art of Mixology Mocktail Competition
In partnership with the Association of Bartenders and Sommeliers Singapore (ABSS) Youth Wing Division, TMC Academy organised a Mixology competition for both students and staff. Participants are required to create an original mocktail recipe and concoct the drink for a panel of judges. The top 3 students will move on to the annual National Cocktail Competition, held at Raffles Town Club. TMC Academy is a regular participant and sees our Hospitality and Tourism students clinching top prizes in the previous years’ competitions.
A week before the competition, we invited Mr David Chan, Honorary Secretary of ABSS Youth Wing to conduct a briefing for the participants.
Our students took this competition seriously and practiced at the bar in our Food & Beverage Room conscientiously, attempting to perfect their mocktail recipe.
Competition day arrived and everyone gathered at the Lecture Theatre for the final presentation. Apart from our Hospitality and Tourism students who are members of the ABSS Youth Wing, we had sporting students from other courses taking part in this competition too.
