Greenwich Accounting & Finance Programme ranked UK top 5

University of Greenwich Accounting and Finance programmes are ranked in the UK top five by the National Student Satisfaction Survey (NSSS) 2008.

The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme is the leading largest Accounting and Finance programme in the UK. The programme was compared to 70 UK Accounting and Finance departments/subject groups surveyed.

The survey assessed many different aspects of programmes' quality and provision, including quality of teaching and learning, organisation and management, feedback and assessment, learning resources, academic support, personal and professional development of students and the overall satisfaction.

All scores for the Department are better than the national norm and in many of these categories its programmes are placed second in the UK Accounting and Finance programme market.

The NSSS 2008 results over the last two years have revealed that the Department of Accounting and Finance has improved their performance substantially. When compared to the previous year, the departments' performance has increased on an average of ten percent.

Only a few small size programmes scored slightly better than our Accounting and Finance programmes. Our large programmes, defined as student population above 150 in the final year, excelled in comparison to other UK Universities.

The successful results coupled with strong professional bodies links, exam exemptions, industry links, quality assurance and external examiners praise of the standards reinforces the strength of the Departments offerings.
