University of Gloucestershire

The University of Gloucestershire can trace its history back to 1834, and has a tradition of providing education for the workplace. It aims to provide relevant, rigorous and up-to-the-minute education and offers a strong platform on which to build and progress your career.

With almost 10,000 students and 1,000 academic and support staff spread over four campuses, three in Cheltenham and one in Gloucester, the University of Gloucestershire offers students a great place to study. Cheltenham, in particular, is attractive and is known as 'the world capital of festivals' (The Times). On average, Cheltenham holds a festival every 5 days and was recently voted as the best place to live in the UK.

The University is proud of its green credentials and sustainable policies and is one of only a few universities to have achieved ISO14001 standard. The main subject areas are Business, Management, Law, IT, the Arts, Media and Design, Humanities, the Environment, Teacher Education, Leisure and Tourism, Social Sciences and Sport. The University of Gloucestershire is known for its active learning strategies, and innovative courses, for example interactive game design, sports tourism management and popular music.
