TMC has been encouraging lifelong learning for over
29 years. Our Progression Pathway is designed
to provide students from all walks for life the opportunity
to study for stand alone qualification, or work towards
obtaining a degree or Masters qualification.
Students with a variety of different qualifications
can take advantage of TMC’s flexible entry structure.
This includes a mature entry route for students over
21, mature entry route take into account students' working
experience when evaluating their eligibility, which
means that many such students are able to enter at the
Higher Diploma (which is equivalent to year 1 and 2
of a degree).
For Polytechnic students TMC provides a wide range
of programmes that will give students with relevant
Polytechnic Diplomas Advanced Standing. This means
for many of our UK degrees such students can enter directly
to the final year, or they can claim up to 18 months
advanced standing for our Australian degrees.

Part-time courses are designed with the working professional in mind. Not only do they cover many topics related to the current industry practices, courses are also flexibly structured to enable students to pursue and complete their courses at their own pace.
Part-time diploma courses are of the standard equivalent to that of the full-time courses and are conducted over a slightly longer period with students typically coming in for classes two evenings a week from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

All of TMC’s programmes are modular in nature, with TMC Diplomas having 6 modules, and TMC Higher Diplomas 12 modules (16 for Mass Communications). Our academic year is divided into 4 semesters of 10 weeks each, for full-time students Diplomas take 2 semesters (3 for part-time), and Higher Diplomas 4 semesters (6 for part-time). Our programmes may be assessed be means of a mix of coursework, examination or in-class test.
Our Diplomas are designed to provide students with
a sound foundation for work or entry to Higher Diploma.
Each Diploma provides a balance of knowledge and
skills. Each TMC Diploma is modular in nature
and consists of a total of 6 modules, which are assessed
by means of assignments or in-class tests and/or exams.
On a full-time basis a Diploma can be completed over a 2 semesters (6 months), with students taking 3 modules per semester. Part-time students complete the Diploma over 9 months, 2 modules per semester.
Our Higher Diplomas are equivalent of the 1st and 2nd
year of a degree, and can be considered to be comparable
to a UK Foundation Degree. Higher Diploma graduates
can be admitted to the final year 'Top-Up' degree with
our University partners, or gain at least 18 months
exemption on our Australian degrees. TMC Higher
Diplomas consists of a total of 12 modules (16 for Mass
Communication), which are typically divided into Level
1 (year 1) and Level 2 (year 2).
On a full-time basis a Higher Diploma can be completed over
a 4 semesters (12 months), with students taking 3 modules
per semester (4 for Mass Communication). Part-time
students complete the Higher Diploma over 18 months,
taking 2 modules per semester.
