This programme is designed to allow students who have a bachelor’s degree and a major in psychology from any course accredited by the Australian Psychological Society the opportunity to complete the honours section of a psychology degree.
The Honours programme introduces students to the theoretical and methodological aspects of research through a research project undertaken under close supervision. It encourages careful and comprehensive evaluation of theoretical issues through research, and introduces students to wider issues in psychology. The programme can be completed part-time over 2 years.
As part of the programme students are required to attend residential schools once in each semester during the 2 year course.
The Honours programme has been approved a fourth year of study in psychology by the Australian Psychological Society.
