TMC refund policy is as follows:

  • Application Fee is non-refundable upon payment except in the event that TMC cancel the course or the application is rejected by the University.
  • The refund of Course Fees will be based on the Refund Policy Table below:

  1. There will be a 7-working-days## Cooling-off Period from the date of signing of the Student Contract which will allow for a “Maximum Refund” should students decide to withdraw within this Period.
  2. Refunds will be made to students within 7 working-days## upon receipt of written notice and complete submission of all required documents. Students requesting a refund of fee need to ensure that there is no outstanding fees.
  3. In addition, the above refund policies are subject to the following conditions:
    • Generally, there will be a Refund Processing Fee of 10% of the refunded amount (with a minimum charge of S$10 and maximum cap of S$200) for excess fee received; for avoidance of doubt, this fee is not applicable to refund for withdrawals due to nondelivery of course and during cooling-off period.
    • TMC has the right to cancel a course if the conditions to commence a course are not met such as not meeting the minimum student number to commence the course, etc. Such decision will be normally made known to the students at least 2 weeks (for fulltime class)/ 1 week (for part-time class) before the orientation date.
    • When a course is cancelled by TMC or the student’s application is rejected by the University, the student may defer the intake at no extra charge, or withdraw from the course and obtain a 100% refund of all fees paid (including the application fee and without the Refund Processing Fee).
    • In the case of assessment appeal fee, the appeal fee shall be refunded to the student without the refund processing fee if the appeal is successful. No refund is required if the appeal is not successful.
    • In the case of course transfer, any unconsumed course fee from the current course can be credited to the next course for successful applications. For International Student, this will be conditional upon approval of the new student pass by ICA.
    • If the unconsumed course fee is more than the course fee payable for the new course (or course that the student wants to transfer to), all fee made will not be refunded. If the unconsumed course fee is less than the course fee payable for the new course, students need to make a top up.
    • In the case of class transfer, student can have their unconsumed course fee paid credited to the next class or next semester when student resume their studies within the stipulated period.
    • In the case of course withdrawal, the refund of course fees will be based on the TMC refund table. No Refund processing Fee is imposed for any refund processed relating to course withdrawal. However, any bank charges will be borne by the student.
  4. TMC has the right to cancel a course if the conditions to commence a course are not met such as not meeting the minimum student number to commence the course, etc. Such decision will be normally made known to the students at least 2 weeks (for full-time class)/ 1 week (for part-time class) before the orientation date.

  8. In the case of course transfer, any unconsumed course fee from the current course can be credited to the next course for successful applications. For International Student, this will be conditional upon approval of the new student pass by ICA.
  9. If the unconsumed course fee is more than the fee payable for the new course (or course that the student wants to transfer to), all fee made will not be refunded. If the unconsumed course fee is less than the fee payable for the new course, students need to make a top up.
  10. In the case of module transfer, student can have their unconsumed paid fee credited to the next class or next semester when student resume their studies within the stipulated period.
  • Above refund policy applies to all programmes offered by TMC, except for programmes jointly offered with partner institutions which may be separately governed by the respective overseas institutions’ refund policy beyond the purview of TMC.
  • All fees are subject to prevailing Goods & Services Tax (GST), unless otherwise stated.

Refund Procedure

Original official receipt must be submitted for refunds. No refunds will be made if student cannot produce official receipts. In the event the original official receipt is lost, statutory declaration or a police report must be submitted for the refund to be processed. All refunds application are subjected to the School’s approval. All decisions are considered final.
