2011 - TMC Academic Journal has just been listed on "DOAJ - Directory of Open Access Journals"
hosted by Lund University Libraries Head Office.

The idea of introducing an academic journal to facilitate
the exchange of ideas among academia was first mooted
by the current Chief Editor, Dr. Ha Huong, during her
short working holiday period at TMC in December 2005.
Subsequently, TMC Academic Journal was introduced in
December 2005, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Kuppuswamy
Ranganathan and his colleagues at TMC Business School.
Dr. Ranganathan also worked closely with Dr. Ha at the
initial stage to develop the guidelines/instructions
for submission to the journal. The journal provides
opportunities for TMC staff members, academia and practitioners
to publish their original and unpublished research works
and to exchange ideas and experiences in teaching and
doing research. The dissemination of research output
will help TMC leverage off its reputation for quality,
professionalism, research and development which can
contribute to justifying its leadership role in the
private education industry.
2005 - TMC Academic Journal was first published.
2006 - TMC Academic Journal has Advisory Board and an
international Reviewer Committee.
2007 - TMC Academic Journal was registered with and
obtained an ISSN from the National Library Board of
Singapore in December 2007. The authors whose articles
were published in TMC Academic Journal have received "research points" (in Australia, this refers to DEST
points) for their articles.
2008 - TMC Academic Journal has been listed in the database
of Ulrichsweb.com since the fourth quarter of 2008.

TMC Academic Journal has collaborated with the Third
Online International Conference in Business and Management
(ISOMO) to publish high quality research and scientific

2009 - Members of the Advisory Board and Review Committee
are from 19 universities / organisations from different
countries.
2010 - TMC Academic Journal has collaborated with the
organizers of The 1st International Conference for Graduate
Research in Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure is organized
by the Tourism Department, University of Shkodra, Albania
and Sandhills Community College, Pinehurst North Carolina,

Dr. Huong Ha is currently the Dean of TMC Business School, TMC Educational Group (Singapore), and Chief Editor of TMC Academic Journal. She holds a PhD from Monash University, Australia, and a Master in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. She was a recipient of PhD Scholarship awarded by Monash University, Temasek Scholarship awarded by National University of Singapore, and a scholarship awarded by United Nations University (UNU), International Leadership Academy (ILA) and has many other professional and academic awards. She has many years of teaching experience in tertiary educational institutes/universities and working experience in manufacturing, marketing research and business consultancy in Australia, Singapore and Vietnam. Her research interests include public policy, governance, education and e-consumer protection. Her research activities have resulted in a research grant by Consumer Affairs Victoria, Government of Victoria State (Australia), a Distinguished Paper Award (USA/Turkey), many international travel grants, refereed journal articles, book chapters and encyclopaedia articles published by well-known publishers such as McMillan, Pal Grave, ABC-Publishers, Kluwer Academic Journal, etc. and several conference papers. She has also been invited to review many academic journals and conference articles.
